What about safety?

Generally, the same rules apply to garden fireplaces as to any use of open flames. However, here are a few tips to ensure safety is maintained:

• Extinguish the fire with plenty of water after use.
• Leave the ash in the fireplace until it is completely cold. Do not dispose of it in nature or with household waste until you are certain there are no embers left.

Is it difficult to set up a garden fireplace?

The short answer is no!
For a Mexican-inspired clay fireplace like the "Soledad", getting started is incredibly simple. You simply place the fireplace in the included steel stand, and you're ready to go. Other solutions, such as the black-coated "Fuego" ("fuego" means fire in Spanish), require a tiny bit of assembly, but it is well within the capabilities of most people. All that is required is screwing on the chimney and fastening the three legs beneath the unit.

Which modern garden fireplace should I choose?

As with indoor stoves, preferences are very individual. In our range, you will find curious, Mexican-inspired clay chimeneas that look extremely cosy and traditional. As mentioned, the clay retains heat beautifully and cools down slowly.

If you prefer a design that fits a more contemporary setting, the black-coated steel fireplaces are a safe bet. These closely resemble indoor log burners in their aesthetic. However, please note that these are not suitable for indoor use, as they require a proper flue system to vent smoke. If you are looking for an indoor solution, you should explore our bioethanol range instead.
